The PTC Fuse LVR 040 is a resettable fuse (polyfuse) designed to protect electronic circuits from over-current and short-circuit conditions. When excessive current flows, its resistance increases sharply, limiting the current and protecting sensitive components. Once the fault is removed and temperature returns to normal, the fuse automatically resets.
